Shipping policy

Orders & Confirmation

  • Request Basis: By placing an order, you are requesting a specific delivery date.

  • Confirmation: Your order is only officially confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by the Cookista team.

Delivery Options (Ottawa Only)

  • Standard Delivery ($10): Cookista's base delivery service. Delivery occurs anytime between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM on your confirmed date.

  • Premium Priority Upgrade (+$5): Cookista’s upgraded delivery service. Delivery includes a guaranteed 2-hour arrival window and priority tracking updates.

Delivery Protocol

  • Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

  • Unattended Deliveries: If no one is available to receive the order, it may be left at the door or with a concierge at the customer’s risk.

  • Delivery Date Changes: Requests to reschedule must be made at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Liability: Cookista is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or environmental conditions (including heat or weather) once the order has been delivered to the provided address.

Product Care & Storage

Our products are baked fresh with premium ingredients and no preservatives. For the best experience, we recommend enjoying them on the day of delivery.

  • Serving: Best served at room temperature for a rich, soft, and creamy texture. If not consumed immediately, store in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. Before serving, bring to room temperature for about 2–3 hours.

  • Storage: Products may be kept at room temperature for up to 6 hours. Refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.

Customization & Allergies

  • Handmade Nature: Each product is handmade and may vary slightly from requested designs.

  • Allergy Disclaimer: Our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten, and soy. While we take precautions to minimize cross-contact, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Cookista is not a nut-free facility. Please inform us of any severe allergies prior to ordering.
