Orders & Confirmation

  • Request Basis: Placing an order secures your requested delivery date.

  • Confirmation: Your order is only officially confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by the Cookista team.

  • Availability: If we are unable to fulfill your requested date due to capacity, we will notify you as early as possible and issue a full refund.

  • Right to Refuse Service: Cookista reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion.

Customization & Order Accuracy

  • Handmade Nature: All products are handmade and may vary slightly in appearance from requested designs.

  • Order Accuracy: Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all order details, including flavor selections, personalization, and delivery information. Cookista is not responsible for errors or omissions provided by the customer.

Allergy Disclaimer

  • Environment: Our products are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, and soy.

  • Cross-Contact: While we take precautions to minimize cross-contact, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

  • Notice: Cookista is not a nut-free facility. Please inform us of any severe allergies prior to ordering.

Product Care & Storage

Our products are baked fresh with premium ingredients and no preservatives. For the best experience, we recommend enjoying them on the day of delivery.

  • Serving: Best served at room temperature for a rich, soft, and creamy texture. If not consumed immediately, store in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. Before serving, bring to room temperature for about 2–3 hours.

  • Storage: Products may be kept at room temperature for up to 6 hours. Refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.

  • Liability: Cookista is not responsible for changes in texture or quality due to improper storage once the order has been delivered. Cookista shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or consumption of our products.

Refunds & Cancellations

  • Policy Reference: Refunds, cancellations, and order changes are subject to the terms outlined in our Refund Policy.

Delivery (Ottawa Only)

  • Service Area: Delivery is available within Ottawa, Ontario only.

  • Delivery Options: Cookista offers two delivery services: Standard Delivery and Premium Priority Delivery

  • Unattended Deliveries: If no one is available to receive the order, it may be left at the door or with a concierge at the customer's risk.

  • Liability: Cookista is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or environmental conditions (including heat or weather) once the order has been delivered to the provided address.

  • Policy Reference: Delivery timing, options, and procedures are subject to the terms outlined in our Shipping Policy. 

Marketing

  • Use of Photos: Cookista may use photos of completed orders for marketing purposes unless otherwise requested by the customer.

  • Pricing & Errors: While we strive for accuracy, Cookista reserves the right to correct any errors in pricing, product descriptions, or availability. Orders affected by such errors may be cancelled at our discretion.

Agreement to Policy

  • Acknowledgement: By placing an order, you acknowledge that your payment constitutes an order request subject to availability and confirmation.

  • Consent: By placing an order, you agree to our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy as outlined on our website.
